Users will need Administration access to perform these tasks.

Set Up Animal Hold Reason: These are the reasons why an animal may be placed on hold and allocate restrictions on who can release the hold for greater control. If a restriction has been applied, the user will get a pop-up asking for a new login if they do not have the right access level to release the hold.

  1. Go to the Administration Menu page and find the Edit Drop Down Lists link
  2. Find Animal Hold Reason and click the Edit link. This will take you to a Quick Entry page
  3. To make a new entry, simply type the text you want in the text box and press the Enter key to add it to the list of available options
    • All new entries default to being marked to always show, but will additionally display a box that you can mark if you would like to “restrict” who can release the hold reason.
    • Restricting access to release the hold means that only users with the correct access setting will be able to release the hold.
  4. To edit an existing entry hover the mouse over the entry you would like to edit until a small pencil icon appears before the entry.
    • Click on the icon to edit the text.
    • To save changes, click the tick in the green circle at the end of the row.
    • To cancel changes, click the cross in the red circle at the end of the row.
    • Although entries cannot be deleted in the true sense, they can be “hidden” by clicking in the “Show” check box. If a tick shows in this box, the entry will display as an option. If there is no tick, the entry will not show (i.e. it is “hidden”).
  5. When finished, click Return to Edit Drop Down Menu
