Can I change the Dispatch Job Type after saving it?

We are frequently asked if a Dispatch Job Type can be changed after it was saved because it was entered as one type of job but should have been another, and the user doesn't want to start over. 

The short answer is no, this cannot be done, because the way each job type functions is subtly different, so once it has been saved those functions are set and can't change. 

We would recommend using the "Add Dispatch Job from These Details" option in the dispatch menu to create a new job from the existing details (this will link the two together so you have a history) and finalise the original incorrect job. 

NB: this option doesn't copy all fields, just most, so be mindful that you copy the rest of the information over as required.
