In some locations, the display of a breeder or shelter "supply number" is mandatory whenever certain animals (most often canines) are sold, adopted, given away etc. On Shelter Buddy, this requirement is covered by the field "Breeder / Shelter Registration #".
The field is located on the Animal Details page, just below the Microchip information on the left:
This field has a History (H) field that will record any data entered into it and the history will include the date the data was added and the user who added it. If data is deleted from the field, it will record a blank here, with the date and user to indicate who removed it and when.
The field is not generally mandatory, as it is rarely applicable for all animal types and there are frequently exemptions or exceptions, so monitoring of this field for compliance and consistency must be done manually.
The field can be tracked using the following reports:
- 226 In Care Inventory
- 198 Outgoing Detail List
- 197 Incoming Detail List
- 384 Incoming Shelter / Rescue Report
- 63 Outgoing Shelter / Rescue Details
