Manage Vets

This process updates the Vet Name drop-down lists located in various areas on the Medical Notes page and popup windows. 

You require access to the Administration menu to utilise these options.

 

  1. Click on the Administration link in the Orange Menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
  2. Click on the Edit Drop Down Lists link.

 

To Add a vet name:

  1. Locate the Vets section.
  2. Click on the Add link to add a new vet name. This will generate a popup window.
  3. Vet Name:  enter the new vet name.
  4. License:  enter the vet’s license number, if needed.
  5. Only show when a user is logged in as this physical location: If you would like to filter your list so the vet will only appear for a single region, select the required Physical Location from the drop-down here. This will mean the vet can only be selected when the user is logged in for the same location. If you make no choice, the vet will appear for all locations. 
  6. Click Add Vet.  The popup window will disappear.

To Edit a vet name:

  1. Locate the Vets section.
  2. Click on the Edit link to edit an existing vet name.  This will generate a popup window.
  3. Vet Name:  click on the down arrow to select the vet name to be altered.
  4. New Vet Name:  enter the new/correct vet name.
  5. License:  enter the license number, if needed.
  6. Only show when a user is logged in as this physical location: If you would like to filter your list so the vet will only appear for a single region, select the required Physical Location from the drop-down here. This will mean the vet can only be selected when the user is logged in for the same location. If you make no choice, the vet will appear for all locations. 
  7. Click Edit Vet.  The popup window will disappear.

 

To Add or Edit a vet signature:

  1. Locate the Vets section.
  2. Click on the Edit link to edit an existing vet name.  This will generate a popup window.
  3. Vet Name:  click on the down arrow to select the vet name to be altered.
  4. Manage Vet Signature:  click on this link beneath the text boxes to go to a document upload page.
  5. Click Choose File to browse your folders for the image of the signature
  6. Once located, click Select so the path appears in the Description text box.
  7. Click Upload to load the image of the vet’s signature then Return to Vet Administration.
  8. Click Edit Vet.  The popup window will disappear.
  9. NOTE: If the vet has a signature loaded, then this will appear on spay/neuter certificates assigned to that vet. If they do not have a signature loaded, the standard signature line will still appear.

 

To Delete a vet name:

NB: Deleting a vet does not remove them from history. Their details will remain on any treatments, medications or procedures they were assigned to historically, it will just be impossible to assign them to any new records and their details will not appear in the drop-down lists. 

  1. Locate the Vets section.
  2. Click on the Delete link to delete an existing vet name.  This will generate a popup window.
  3. Vet Name:  click on the down arrow to select the vet name to be deleted.
  4. Click Delete Vet.  Click OK.  The popup window will disappear.
