Account Attributes

To add a new Attribute:

  1. From the Welcome/Search page, click the Receipts link in the left-hand menu
  2. In the resulting menu, find and click on the link Administration
  3. In the resulting menu, click on the link Account Attributes
  4. A list of existing account attributes will display. 
    • You can sort the list A-Z or Z-A by clicking the arrows next to the Name heading
    • At the bottom of the page, on the left you will see page indicators you can use to page through the listed items. 
    • At the bottom of the page on the right you will see an indicator to tell you the Total number of items listed, and a drop-down option to allow to to change how many items are listed on the viewable page. Click the down-arrow to change the number of items you can view each time. 
  5. Click +Add Account Attribute found in the top right of the screen
  6. Place your cursor into the text field and type the name of the attribute exactly as you'd like to see it listed. (Note: there is a limit of 100 characters)
  7. When done, click Create.
  8. This will return you to the list dashboard and you should see your newly created attribute in the list. 
  9. You will see a Success! message appear in the top right of screen. 

To edit an existing Attribute: 

  1. Navigate to the Account Attributes dashboard menu via steps 1-3 above. 
  2. Locate the attribute you wish to amend in the list. 
  3. On the right hand end of that row, you will see three dots arranged vertically. Click on the three dots. 
  4. A modal will open. Click Edit
  5. Place your cursor into the text field and amend the name of the Attribute as desired. 
  6. When the changes are made, click Save to return to the dashboard menu. 
  7. You will see a Success! message appear in the top right of screen. 

Note: at this time, Attributes cannot be deleted only amended. 

To link an Attribute to an Account (GL Code): 

  1. From the Welcome/Search page, click the Receipts link in the left-hand menu
  2. In the resulting menu, find and click on the link Administration
  3. In the resulting menu, click on the link Account 
  4. A dashboard menu will display your list of Accounts by name, GL Code, and Region (Physical Location). 
  5. Use the Search feature at the top of the page to search by any of these to find your target account. 
  6. Click the Search account button to activate your search. 
    • To clear the search and return to the full list, clear your search field and click the Search accounts button again. 
  7. Once you have found your target account, look for three dots arranged vertically on the right side of the row. 
  8. Click the dots to see a small modal with two options 
  9. Click on Assign Attributes
  10. Every possible Attribute will display with a drop-down below it. 
    1. If the account already has Attributes assigned, they will display in this box by default. 
    2. Clicking on the box will display any Attribute Values already added for that Attribute via other GL Codes. You can select one by clicking on it.
    3. If no values have been added yet, you can simply type into to field. It will auto complete the value below with the indicator (new) after it. For example:

    4. Note: there is a limit of 100 characters.
    5. Click on the suggestion to accept it and save it to the Attribute. 
  11. When you have added all the values to the Attributes you require, click the Save button to save your changes and return to the dashboard menu. 

Account Attributes are available to Power BI (Ad hoc Reporting) and report 629 "Detailed Donations by GL Code"
