Rabies Unlicensed Pets

Follow

This feature helps you locate pets that have a rabies vaccination recorded on their record but are not listed as having been licensed, so you can contact them in an effort to have them license their pet.

Set up Letter Template

  1. Click on the Administration link in the orange left-hand menu
  2. Find and click on the option Templated Document Administration
  3. From the resulting menu, click on the option Letters.
  4. A default option will load. This option is linked to the report, so you cannot create location-specific variations at this time. NOTE: the +Create button will be inactive.
  5. Click on the Edit button
  6. Location: leave this default at All. This feature is not set up to have location-specific variations at this time.
  7. Description: Place your cursor into the text field to amend the Description as desired, but be mindful it should describe the purpose of the template.
  8. Type: Defaults to Rabies Unlicensed Pets Letter and you will not be able to modify this.
  9. Body: place your cursor in the text canvas to activate the drop-down. You can either simply type into this field if the information is to be static, or if you would like it to auto-fill specific information for each client, click on the down-arrow from the drop-down to find available place-holders. Click on a place-holder to insert it into the subject field and do not change the place-holder text once there. This text will be replaced with custom information for each client.
    • NOTE: currently, the template can only associate one pet per letter, so if a person has multiple pets, they would get one letter per pet.
  10. When your changes are complete, click Save or click Cancel to discard and return to the menu.

Once your letter template is set up, you can run report 745 Unlicensed Rabies With Letter to target the desired customers.

After running the letter generation, you should be emailed a single PDF for all the animals from the report. Each animal's letter should have its own page.
