Why isn't the current address displaying on the receipt?

Receipts are programmed to show what was current for the address details for a person at the time the receipt was created, not what is current now. This way, if a person moves house, their receipting history isn't corrupted. 

Bearing this in mind, if you click the history icon for the mailing address on the Person File attached to the receipt, you will see the history of address updates to that field. Make a note of the date and time the address was updated. 

If you then go to the Edit Receipt page for the receipt in question (click Financial History from the Person Details page > Person Menu) you will see just beneath the receipt number the date and time the receipt was created. If this date and time are prior to when the address was updated, then this receipt will show the address information that existed before that change was added. 

 

Once you have determined this is the issue, there are two options to address it: 

 

  1. When you print a receipt, you'll see a link at the top of the page next to the "Print Form" link called "Switch to Current Address". If you click this link, the current address will appear on the print page, so you can print it with that receipt. However, it will revert to its former settings the moment you navigate away from it. 

  2. You can delete this receipt and recreate it. The time is now after the address update, so the new receipt would default to showing that address.
