This process updates the Type drop-down list on the Physical Exam window located in the Animal Menu on the Edit Animal Details page, on the Vet Notes popup window located in the Animal Menu on the Medical Notes page. The Physical Exam Type indicates the type of exam that took place, e.g. Physical, Visual, Intake, Exit, etc.
You must have access to the Administration menu to process this function.
- Click on the Administration link in the Orange Menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click on the Edit Drop Down Lists
To Add a Physical Exam Type:
- Locate the heading Physical Exam Type
- Click the Add link
- Enter the name of the new Physical Exam Type in the text box provided.
- Click Add Physical Exam Type
- The pop-up window will close
To Edit a Physical Exam Type:
- Locate the heading Physical Exam Type
- Click the Edit link
- Select the name of the Physical Exam Type to be edited from the drop down.
- Type the new name of the Physical Exam Type into the text box provided
- Click the Edit Physical Exam Type button to save and close the pop-up window.
- NOTE: When you edit an existing Physical Exam Type it will automatically change the Exam Type heading in historical information also.
To Delete a Physical Exam Type:
- Locate the heading Physical Exam Type
- Click on the Delete link
- Select the item you wish to delete from the drop down.
- Click Delete Physical Exam Type to complete and close the pop-up.
- NOTE: Deleting a Physical Exam Type removes it from the options a user can apply from that time forwards. The option remains visible on historical information, however, if the user chooses to change the Exam Type on a historical record, they will not be able to reapply the original deleted item.
