Before a site can use the Emergency Boarding feature, it needs to be set up via the Administration menu. Follow these steps to set up your Emergency Boarding functions:
- Use the Administration menu in the left hand (orange) menu and from there locate the Edit Drop Down List.
- In the pale section at the top of the Edit Drop Down List, find Emergency Boarding Reason.
- Click the Edit link to advance to the Set Up
- The Set Up page is a quick entry page, so to enter Emergency Boarding reasons, simply type them into the text box and press the enter
- Now, if you hover your mouse cursor over the reason you have just entered, a pencil will appear on the left hand side of the entry. If you need to correct spelling or update anything, click on the pencil to edit.
- Use the green checkmark or red cross to save your changes.
- If there is a checkmark in the box column with the header “Show”, this means this reason is active. If the checkbox against that entry is empty, the reason is inactive and will not show in your “Reason for Emergency Boarding” drop down on the Animal Details Page.
- Receipt verbiage can be customized for each Emergency Boarding Reason via the Receipt Wording link that appears on the right end on the Emergency Boarding Reason once it has been entered. This will take you to a document manager that allows you to use different fonts, sizes, displays etc. to customize the document as required.

At the moment, the only report that filters on "Emergency Boarding Reason(s)" is 445 Cost of Animal Report.
