Set Up - Dispatch Job Received By

The Administration link will only display for users that have administrative access to the system.  This allows certain areas of the system to be edited by administrative staff.  This process is to set users who can receive a dispatch job so they appear in the Received By drop down section of the dispatch job page. A person must be a user on your Shelter Buddy site to appear in this list. 

There are two methods users who can receive jobs can be set. 

 Method 1:

  1. In the left hand menu on the Welcome page click on the Administration link.
  2. On the Administration page click on the Dispatch Administration link.
  3. Go to the Received By link.
  4. A page will open that will offer two multi-select drop down boxes. 
    • On the left are a list of current Shelter Buddy users that can receive jobs
    • On the right are a list of current Shelter Buddy users that cannot receive jobs
  5. Click on a name to highlight it, or hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click to highlight multiple names. 
  6. Use the arrow buttons between the two boxes to move names back and forth. A single arrow will move a single name (or a single name from a selection of names one at a time until all have transferred), the double arrows will move ALL entries in that box to the other box. 
  7. Repeat until you have amended the list to your satisfaction. 

 Method 2:

  1. In the left hand menu on the Welcome page click on the Administration link.
  2. On the Administration page click on the Edit User Access link.
  3. Click the Find User link.
  4. Type the person's name, or part of it, into the search fields on the resulting page.
    • Tip: If you don't find the person, and you know they are definitely a user, check that the region and active status drop down boxes are compatible with their login account. If you aren't sure of their region or active status, make sure these drop downs are set to All.
  5. If the person's login profile displays, click the Edit link on the right end of their details.
    • Find and mark the User can receive dispatch calls box
    • Click Update. The user will now appear in the Received By drop down. 
  6. If the person does not have a login, create one for them and ensure the User can receive dispatch calls box is marked.
