Set Up - Dispatch Status

The Administration link will only display for users that have administrative access to the system.  This allows certain areas of the system to be edited by administrative staff.  This process is to allow statuses to be added, edited or deleted from the dispatch area of the system.

 

Statuses mark at what stage any given job is currently at, and there are a number of default statuses that are available on every site. These default statuses cannot be changed, however, this features allows you to add new ones of your own as required, over and above the default options.  

 

  1. In the left-hand menu on the Welcome page click on the Administration link.
  2. On the Administration page click on the Dispatch Administration link.
  3. Go to the Status section.

 

To ADD Dispatch Statuses

  1. Click on the Add ­­­­link.  This will generate the Dispatch Status pop up window.
  2. Dispatch Status:  enter the title of the Charge, Officer or Outcome as applicable.
  3. Click Add Dispatch Status.  The popup window will disappear.

 

To EDIT Dispatch Statuses

NOTE:  there are some "default" statuses that are required for specific functions within the Dispatch module. These statuses are hard-coded and can't be edited. 

These statuses include:

  • Arrived At Location
  • Assigned
  • Attended
  • Attending
  • Awaiting Assignment
  • Awaiting Further Information
  • Awaiting Recheck
  • Departed For Job
  • Departed From Location
  • Entering Property
  • Finalised
  • Pending
  • Pending Prosecution

The only statuses you will be able to edit are custom statuses added by your organisation. To edit:

  1. Click on the Edit ­­­­link.  This will generate the Dispatch Status pop up window.
  2. Dispatch Status:  click on the down arrow to select the item to be edited.
  3. New Dispatch Status:  enter the correct title.
  4. Click Edit Dispatch Status.  The popup window will disappear.

 

To DELETE Dispatch Statuses

NOTE: this will not delete them completely, merely "hide" them so they cannot be applied to existing or new dispatch jobs. They will still be visible for jobs that had them applied prior to their deletion. 

You can only delete custom statuses added by your organisation

  1. Click on the Delete ­­­­link.  This will generate the Dispatch Status pop up window.
  2. Dispatch Status:  click on the down arrow to select the item to be deleted.
  3. Click Delete Dispatch Status.  Click OK.  The popup window will disappear.
