Set Up - Dispatch Request Outcomes

The Administration link will only display for users that have administrative access to the system.  This allows certain areas of the system to be edited by administrative staff.  This process is to allow request outcomes to be added, edited or deleted from the dispatch area of the system.

 

Outcomes are normally something along the lines of Verbal Advice Given, Welfare Direction Issued, Pending Prosecution, Prosecution, No Action Required, Record Only, etc. Alternately, they can be linked to statuses to record pick up and drop off times (if not using statuses themselves). These outcomes are dispatch request specific therefore you can have outcomes that are meaningful to each request type.

 

  1. In the left hand menu on the Welcome page click on the Administration link.
  2. On the Administration page click on the Dispatch Administration link.
  3. Go to the Dispatch Request Outcome section.

 

To ADD Dispatch Request Outcome

  1. Click on the Add ­­­­link.  This will generate the Add Dispatch Request Outcome pop up window.
  2. Dispatch Request Type:  click on the down arrow to select the applicable request type.
  3. Dispatch Request Source:  enter the title of the outcome. 
  4. Click Add Dispatch Request Outcome.  The popup window will disappear.

 

 

To EDIT Dispatch Request Outcome

  1. Click on the Edit ­­­­link.  This will generate the Edit Dispatch Request Outcome pop up window.
  2. Dispatch Request Type: click on the down arrow to select the request type that lists the outcome to be edited.
  3. Dispatch Request Outcome:  click on the down arrow to select the outcome to be edited.
  4. New Dispatch Request Outcome:  enter the correct outcome title.
  5. Click Edit Dispatch Request Outcome.  The popup window will disappear.

 

 

To DELETE Dispatch Request Outcome

  1. Click on the Delete ­­­­link.  This will generate the Delete Dispatch Request Outcome pop up window.
  2. Dispatch Request Type: click on the down arrow to select the request type that lists the outcome to be deleted.
  3. Dispatch Request Outcome:  click on the down arrow to select the outcome to be deleted.
  4. Click Delete Dispatch Request Outcome.  Click OK.  The popup window will disappear.

 

To Apply a Dispatch Request Outcome

  1. From any given Dispatch Job page, amend the Status field
  2. A pop up will deploy
  3. Enter the cursor in the Outcome text box and type three letters for the auto-complete field to suggest items for you to choose from.
    • Alternately, click the question mark icon to see the full list of available options.
  4. Select an outcome from the items offered by clicking on it
  5. Click Add
  6. The selected outcome will appear at the bottom of the Notes free text field.
  7. Repeat as required until all required Outcomes are added.
  8. Click Save to save your changes
  9. Click Submit to save the job, to ensure the changes are saved. 
  10. NOTE: the Outcome(s) will be applied to the status prior to the one you just edited. This is normal, as the outcome is commenting on what just occurred, but the status change itself represents the next step. 
  11. The outcome will now report against that status and remain in history.
