Reset User Access (Unblock IP Addresses)

Follow

You require access to the Administration menu to utilise this option.

This process is to unlock a user that has tried to log into the system with an incorrect username and / or password three or more times.  Once the system is locked the following notice will display:

You have incorrectly attempted to login 3 times and now do not have access to login.  Contact the Systems Administrator and quote this number: ### to clear this security feature.

A phone number to contact the system administrator is not displayed for security purposes.

When this occurs, the system lock does not just prevent the user from accessing the system but it prevents the computer itself from accessing the system.  In other words, if one user has locked them selves out of the system and another user tries to gain access on the same computer, access will not be granted.

When a call is received and the number that was displayed is quoted follow the process below.  Only users with administrative access can process this function.

  1. Click on the Administration link in the Orange Menu on the left hand side of the screen.
  2. Click on the Reset Access To Logins link.
  3. Click on the Delete link next to the applicable ID# to reset a single user, recommended.  The screen will refresh and the reset user will no longer be listed.
  4. Click on the Delete All Restricted Logins link to reset all users listed at one time.  Use this with caution.  This is a security system set up to prevent the system from hackers.  Once the release is made all computers that have attempted to access the system are now free to do so once again.

Don’t forget to:

  • Check the Blocked Users area for the same user.
  • Check the Failed Logins area for the same user.
